Disclaimer
Due to the wide variety of vehicle designs, some models feature a mirror shroud or housing that may partially obstruct the dash cam's recording area. This does not affect the unit's functionality, but a portion of the footage may be obscured depending on your vehicle.
We recommend checking your vehicle's mirror design before purchasing if unobstructed footage is important to you.
Affected vehicles include (but are not limited to): Toyota HiLux N80, Isuzu D-Max, Mazda BT-50 (2020 to 2026).

Q: Does this replace my existing rearview mirror?
A: It depends on your mirror setup. The RVM966 can replace with a universal mirror mount. If this isn't a feasible option then you can clip it over your existing mirror.
Q: Do I need to hardwire it in?
A: Yes, this unit needs to be hardwired into your vehicle's electrical system. It connects to a constant 12V power source and an ACC (ignition) wire so it powers on and off with the car. We recommend having it installed by an auto electrician or car audio specialist if you're not comfortable with vehicle wiring.
Q: What SD card do I need?
A: The unit will come with an SD card but if you want to upgrade you'll need a Class 10 U3 microSD card with a minimum write speed of 30MB/s. The unit supports up to 256GB. We recommend formatting the card in the unit every 30 days to keep it running smoothly.
Q: Will it fit my car?
A: The RVM966 is designed to fit most vehicles, however some models have a mirror shroud or housing that may partially obstruct the recording area. Affected vehicles include the Toyota HiLux N80, Isuzu D-Max, and Mazda BT-50 (2020 to 2026). If you're unsure, feel free to contact us before purchasing.
Q: What is the difference between the standard camera and the Canopy Camera?
A: The standard camera is designed to mount low, near your number plate, great for standard reversing and towing. The canopy camera is designed to mount higher up on a canopy or roof rack, giving you a wider view further back behind the vehicle. If you run a canopy or frequently tow, the canopy camera is the better option.
Q: What is the Dual Camera and do I need it?
A: The dual camera is a single unit with two lenses, one angled for rear vision while driving and one angled down for reversing. It plugs into both rear camera inputs on the unit. It's a great option if you want a dedicated reversing view and a dedicated rear vision view without needing two separate cameras. A second extension cable is included.
Q: Can I add a second camera later?
A: Yes. The RVM966 has two rear camera inputs, so if you start with the standard camera or canopy camera, you can add a second camera down the track. Contact us and we can help you work out the best setup for your vehicle.
Q: What happens when I put the car in reverse?
A: When the reverse trigger is wired up, the display automatically switches to your rear camera view. You can choose how this displays in the settings, either zoomed into the lower portion of the image (useful for seeing directly behind the towball) or a centred crop that shows the full camera image. The second option is particularly useful if your camera is mounted up high on a canopy.
Q: Can I view footage on my phone?
A: Yes. The unit has built-in WiFi. Connect your phone to the unit's WiFi network and open the app (available on iOS and Android) to view, download, and manage your footage.

What You'll Love
Starlight Night Vision
Every camera option comes with starlight night vision built in. Instead of the usual red infrared glow, it picks up tiny amounts of available light and turns it into clear colour footage, even in low light conditions
View the footage via SD Card or App
Pull footage straight off the SD card or connect to the app on your phone. Either way, getting your videos is quick and easy.
Smart Reverse View
Choose how your reverse camera displays. Get the full image or a zoomed in view, whatever works best for your setup.
G-Sensor Protection
Detects sudden impacts and automatically locks the footage so it can't be overwritten. Your proof is always saved when it matters.
Built for canopies or vehicles with no rear visibility
If your canopy or setup blocks your rear window, this camera gives you the visibility you're missing. Waterproof and tough enough to handle life on a 4WD, ute or canopy.
Clip Over or Replace
Keep your factory mirror in place and clip this straight over it, or remove it altogether (does depend on your current mirror setup).
Choose your Camera
The kit comes with the standard camera but you can upgrade to the canopy camera or our dual camera
3-Channel Recording
Front, high rear and low rear, all recorded at once. The mirror camera covers the road ahead while the canopy camera takes in the wider view behind you and the low camera handles close range reversing.
3-Channel Recording with Dual Camera
The dual camera covers two angles in one unit. A 90 degree lens for rear vision while driving and a 120 degree lens for reversing, both feeding into your 3-channel system alongside the front mirror camera.
Smart Reverse View
Choose how your reverse camera displays. Switch between a full view or a zoomed in view, whatever suits your setup best.
Starlight Night Vision
Every camera option comes with starlight night vision built in. Instead of the usual red infrared glow, it picks up tiny amounts of available light and turns it into clear colour footage, even when in low light conditions.
